Who you are dealing with
CodeBold IT Solutions builds and publishes the CodeBold Commerce suite. These terms cover this website, the free plugins, and CodeBold Commerce Pro.
For orders placed outside India, Paddle is the merchant of record — legally the seller. Your contract for the payment is with them, and their terms apply to it. For orders within India the sale is directly with us and Razorpay processes the payment.
The licence
A licence buys updates and support for one website. It does not buy the right to run the software, because you already have that.
Every plugin we publish is licensed under the GPL v2 or later. That is not a marketing position, it is the licence WordPress plugins are distributed under, and it means you may use, modify and redistribute the code. Nothing on this page takes that away, and nothing could.
What the subscription is actually for:
- Updates — new versions delivered to your site automatically.
- Support — email help from the people who wrote it.
One licence covers one website. A second site needs a second licence. You can move a licence between sites yourself, as often as you like, from your account page — remove it from one and activate it on the other.
What happens when it lapses
Your shop keeps working. Every feature you have installed carries on exactly as before: the till still takes money, stock still moves, reports still run. There is no code in the plugin that checks whether you have paid.
What stops is updates and support. You will still be told when a new version exists — including a security fix — because not knowing is worse than not having it. You just will not be able to download it until the licence is current again.
Renewals and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically so updates do not stop without warning. We email a reminder fourteen days before, three days before, and on the day.
Cancel any time from your account page or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not shorten the term you have already paid for.
Refunds are covered by the refund policy — thirty days, no questions.
What we ask of you
- Do not resell or redistribute the licence key. The code is GPL and yours to share; the key is a credential tied to your account.
- Do not use the account area, the licence server or this site to attack anybody, including us.
We may end a licence without refund if it is used for fraud or to attack our systems. We have never done it and would rather email you first.
What we do not promise
The software is provided as it is. We test every release against real WordPress and WooCommerce installs, and the suite runs a live shop — but no plugin author can promise that software will be free of faults, or that it will suit a particular shop, and we do not.
Keep backups. This is a plugin that writes to your stock and order records. Anything that touches inventory can, in the wrong circumstances, get inventory wrong. If something goes wrong we will help you fix it, but the backup is yours to have.
Where the law allows us to limit it, our liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Support
Email support@codeboldcommerce.com. We are one small team in India, so replies come on Indian working days. We aim for one working day and will tell you if something needs longer.
Changes and law
If these terms change in a way that affects what you have bought, we will email everyone with an active licence. Changes are not applied retroactively to a term already paid for.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you bought through Paddle, their terms govern the payment itself and may give you additional rights under your own country's consumer law, which we do not seek to limit.
